Everything went wonderful with the teen crafts for Good Samaritan's VBS 2012. This was my first year working with the teens and I absolutely loved it. We made desk organizers out of empty cereal boxes and scrapbook paper, we taped and bleached t-shirts, and we made french memory boards out of insulation board, fabric, ribbon, and buttons or jewels. The teens really enjoyed the crafts, I enjoyed learning more about each of them and their hobbies, and the church elders have already said they want me back next year.

Congrats Graduates!
Well... I have had quite an eventful weekend. My awesome Saints at Sandalwood high school graduated on Friday. So to celebrate, I made carrot cake cupcakes with cream cheese frosting for the faculty and staff who worked so hard. And they were delicious! Although, I can only take credit for the decoration, the cake mix and frosting were both store-bought. But I used Hershey bars and rolos to make little graduation caps on a few if them, and "glued" them together using frosting. And I must say....they were a big hit!

Saturday, my cousin graduated from Bartram Trail High School! So I made him a gift that was too cute! Unfortunately I forgot to take a picture of it. :-( But I will describe it so that you ca make it if you would like! First you take a square box of tissues and empty it (or use one that is already empty). then you cover the outside of it with any color of scrapbook paper that you would like. And I prefer to use spray glue because it is quick to dry and easy to apply. Now once that is covered and drying, you move on to step two. Choose any amount of money you would like to give as a gift and cash it in for all one dollar bills. Take the 1's and turn them where they are all facing the same way and tape them together end to end making a long trail of bills. (NOTE: If you are giving more than $25 as a gift, you may want to use some fives or two dollar bills as well to make it not so long). Once you have your trail of bills, you will want to find some tissue paper that coordinates with the paper you used on the outside of the box. Now you want to cut one sheet of tissue paper so that it is in 4 equal squares. Layer them on top of each and then find the center. Pull the center and twist it together to keep the layers from coming apart. next you want to tape the twisted part of the tissue paper to one end of your trail of bills. Stuff it down into the box with the tissue paper sticking out of the end, and you have a cute gift box with money inside. :) Its really fun to watch their face as they keep pulling out more and more money.

30 30 30
My sister-in-law's birthday is the last day of this month. She is so creative that its always difficult to come up with gifts she hasn't seen or made herself. But I know she wanted a desk organizer like the one I made myself a few months ago. And I made another little goody that I found inspiration for on interest. Its a lollipop bouquet that says "30 sucks". She is going to love it!

Graduation/VBS
I had a project that I needed to try out before I could use it for Vacation Bible School. This year I am in charge of teen crafts, and at first I had no clue what to do. But I scoured the internet to find something both fun and useful and decided that one craft would be a french memory board. I made one for CJ's cousin who just graduated from high school, and it turned out great!! It was so easy to make! And it will not be a very expensive craft to use for VBS!

Baby Shower Crafts
My best friend Meagan is having a baby boy! And her aunt and I are throwing her a shower. It is rubber ducky themed, and is going to be oh so cute! Here are some things I have been working on for shower decorations and gifts.

I covered these wooden letters I found at Hobby Lobby with some scrapbook paper and and modpodge. They looked great! And Im going to put them on a blue wreath we are hanging as decoration at the shower. I will post more pics of things I have made once they are finished. Still have a few weeks to get them done the shower is June 16th. :)

This is our sweet little Bailee. She is the newest addition to our family, and she is almost four months old. Her favorite activities are tug-of-war and fetch. She knows a few tricks too! She is very smart for her age. She can roll over, sit, shake, and high five! But she only does them for treats. Bailee is a lab and boxer mix, so she is a very active puppy. She is very friendly and loves to meet new dogs and people.
